Céad Míle Fáilte to the Christchurch Irish Society. 

Our mission is to offer you a warm Irish welcome and a "home away from home" for all Irish and friends of Irish resident in Christchurch and the surrounding areas.

  • Family Fun Day - Sunday 26th February, 1pm, at Spreydon Domain (beside Irish Society Hall) . More details here.

  • Celebrating St. Patricks Day  Session - Saturday 17th March, 10am - 12:30pm, at the Irish Society Hall. More details here..
  • Preschool Group  - meeting 7th and 21st of March, 4th  and 18th of April. More details here. 
  • Youth Group (10 - 14 years old) - Friday evenings, starting 30th of March 5.30 - 7.30pm. More details here. 
  • Performance/Play (5 - 16 years old) - auditions on Friday 24th March , 6pm - 7.30pm and Saturday 25th of March, 3.30pm - 5pm. More details here.

GAA Xmas Challenge cup
Christchurch Mixed Gaelic Football Social League, every Thursday night, 6:30 - 8pm, until 8th March, Finals on Saturday 10th March, time TBD, at  Malvern Park, off Innes Road. Watch Christchurch's finest! 


Folk Music
The Christchurch Folk Music club have a weekly music session at the Irish Society Hall on Sundays from 2.30pm. More details here.

Recent Events

7 a side Gaelic Football Tournament & Gaelic Football Social Night  - 23rd of July - Featuring mens and ladies teams from Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland and Rakaia. Read a report here.
